Golf Data was appointed the official southern African representatives in 1995, celebrating more than a decade of bringing new championship golf courses to life in South Africa.
Nicklaus Design is headed up by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, athlete of the century and a winner of 19 majors. Nicklaus has been as prolific at golf course design as he‘s been a competitor. His body of works includes an unparalleled array of championship layouts that have attracted honours and world class tournaments.
We have been very privileged to have worked with Nicklaus Design on four completed Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses in South Africa namely Pecanwood Golf & Country Club, Pearl Valley Golf Estate & Spa, Simola Golf & Country Estate, St Francis Links and two Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses currently under construction, namely Serengeti Golf & Wildlife Estate and Houghton Golf Estate. Jubilee Lakes in Jeffreys Bay is planned to commence in 2009.
We are also proud of the association between Jack Nicklaus Design and Ernie Else Design. Oubaai, the Ernie Else Signature Course in South Africa opened in February 2005, while Gardener Ross, the second Ernie Els Signature Course in South Africa opened for play in 2007.
Golf Data is proud to have worked closely with the Nicklaus Team and achieved new levels of excellence with golf course construction in South Africa.
